01 · Frame the situation

Before gathering more evidence, get clear on the question.

We first clarify the decision, why it matters now, who holds authority and what evidence is already available.

That helps avoid unnecessary research and keeps the work focused on the gaps, assumptions or comparisons that could materially affect the judgement.

A good evidence process is proportionate. Not every decision needs the same depth of work.

Structure supports the decision. It does not make the decision.

Leadership teams and advisers bring objectives, experience, professional judgement and knowledge of the situation.

The client retains authority

The client remains responsible for the final decision and its implementation.

Keeping evidence, assumptions, uncertainty and rationale visible is part of our Decision Integrity approach. AI can support research and analysis, but material outputs remain subject to human review.
